Doctor Dolittle
If you're looking for a good starter chapter book, this one worked great for Henry. We read it to him every night for a couple of weeks and he ate it up. It's full of kindness, charm, and humor, and is the exact right difficulty level for a five year old.

Bubble BBQ
On Sunday, I took the family to a "Bubble BBQ" thrown by our skeptic's group - the best day we've had out in a long time. KG and I got the chance hang out, chat with families we love, and enjoy beautiful SoCal. But it was the kids who had the time of their lives. Henry nearly lost his mind playing with countless bubble toys, games, etc. More days like this, please!
