Land of the Tiger Cubs

Introducing...

Nibbles McMilky

NOTE: For those of you who don't know, I've got a show running right now in Hollywood that I co-wrote and co-produced called Land of the Tigers. Forgive the shameless plug, but come check it out if you're local. There are only two weekends left. Information and tickets are available at the Sacred Fools Theatre website.

Guess What?

He's been working on it for a while, but it was two days ago that he did this for the first time:

Baby Blue

Recently, whenever I turn the car stereo on, Henry's taken to "singing" along. When KG and I first heard him do this, we weren't sure if it was for real. But it's begun to happen with such regularly whenever I put music on, that I'm beginning to think it is. As further evidence, he truly seems to be repeating the sounds and rhythms in the song... or at least trying to.

Surprisingly, considering he seems such a happy baby, the stuff that really gets him going is the blues, the more down-and-dirty, the better. Luther Allison, B.B. King, Hound Dog Taylor, they all get him fired up. Why on earth he might feel the blues, I can't imagine.

Day Trip

KG and I took a trip to Santa Monica today to do some shopping and we took the baby with us. HG was a real trooper, taking both his naps in the car and yielding to all sorts of disruptions to his routine. He spent a lot of time strapped into the car seat and hardly complained at all. I'm not much of a shopper, but I sure do appreciate a beautiful day and a beautiful day it was, a lovely way for us to spend the next to last day of our vacation.

Above are a few pictures KG took just before we hopped in the car to go home.

Spring Break

Katharine and I have been having a lovely time over spring break. Simply to have room in our schedules for one another brings such relief and richness into our lives. We'd been seeing very little of each other during rehearsals for my show and it had been pretty difficult. The break from work has been wonderful.

Meanwhile, having more time to spend together with HG seems to be good for both him and us. He certainly seems happier and more relaxed right now. I know I am.

A Kiss From Mom

I've been trying to take a few more pictures of KG with the baby. I feel like the blog is lacking in them. Below is a recent one I liked.
